The Cookie Conundrum
Thought I'd shop for greens and peppers, But I took a sweet detour, Ended up with cookies in my basket, Why is my waistline such a lure? List in hand, I had the best intentions, Kale and carrots on my mind, But those chocolate chips, they whispered, And my discipline declined. I planned a diet oh so strict, Vegetables were gonna rule, But those cookies turned the tide, Weight loss can just wait, I'm about to drool. In the store I lost my compass, Marshmallow dreams took the lead, Healthy thoughts just disappeared, Oh, these sweets, my greatest need! Spinach and broccoli, I passed them by, For a box of guilty treats, My resolve just melted fast, And my cravings had their feats. I planned a diet oh so strict, Vegetables were gonna rule, But those cookies turned the tide, Weight loss can just wait, I'm about to drool. David Rose |
